Boston Luxury Real Estate
Boston real estate may now be rivaling California for Baby Boomer retirement dollars according to recent reports.
Boston is stealing some of the limelight from California in terms of wher the Baby Boomers wish to be."The Boomers are in their peak earning years, buying second homes and retiring to Florida," said Lereah. "We're seeing a lot of development and a lot of building but demand is greater than supply."
The median home price in the Boston area is $400,000, and you don't get much for that!! Only six months ago the median home price was $384,000
Six of the top-performing markets nationally are in Florida with West Palm Beach and Boca Raton up 34 percent, and it is not being fueled by retirees, but rather Baby Boomers and families with children moving from the northeast according to RE/MAX Realtor Susan Berglowe. There is very little inventory in the market and it is normal for a home to get multiple offers after only a few days on the market according to Realtor Berglowe.
